Peplum Tops

Peplums! This is one of the hottest trends in 2012. The peplum is starting to come back into style. It previously had heydays in the 1940s and 1980s, but the modern version is generally simpler and more understated for everyday wear-ability. A peplum is a flared ruffle that is attached to the bottom of a jacket or the top of a skirt to accentuate any hourglass figure and also gives the image of modern sophisticated sexy silhouette.

Sometimes the peplum was deliberately flared, enhancing or suggesting greater curve to the hips. In other styles, it closely fit to the stomach and the hips, and left emphasis on the tight waist of the garment. And also, you can find some different styles of peplums from skirts to dresses just about everywhere, but wearing peplum tops sometimes can be tricky. You need to mix and match the color and according your occasions, its formal or casual?  For school,  peplums can be great choice. Wear your peplum tops with skinny jeans, preferably something fun like a pair of floral print jeans, and a crossbody bag to store your stuff in. For night out, choose a pelum top  with a slightly sexier cut, like a tank, halter or plunging neckline. Pair it with a short body con skirt, flashy heels and a fun, bright colored clutch that will add a bit of texture to your look.

For work, look for a peplum with a high neckline, in a muted color, and pair it with a black pencil skirt.  Remember to avoid wear peplum of a different family color than the rest of the outfit. It adds a huge bulk to your outfit and takes away the whole point of wearing peplum! Peplums have their own personality and style. There is one for every type of lady and every size.
